Contracted revenue due in the next twelve months grew 14%, faster than the full book. But the $200 million guidance raise is, arithmetically, the two pending acquisitions.

Strip Informatica out and the top line reads differently. Revenue of $11.35 billion, up 11% [4], implies a prior-year base near $10.23 billion [1], and with $456 million of the quarter contributed by Informatica [3], organic growth was about 6.5% [2] on the assumption the year-ago quarter carried none. Contracted revenue due in the next twelve months grew 14% [1], while total remaining performance obligation grew 11% [2]. The near-term book is growing faster than the book as a whole, which is what you would expect if new business is being signed on shorter terms.
That is the case for demand, and it is not a weak one. cRPO came in about $280 million, or 0.8%, above the StreetAccount consensus of $33.22 billion [9][3]. Robin Washington told investors order volumes are at a four-year high and that second-half organic reacceleration is on track [15]. Bookings for the premium Agentforce One Edition and Agentforce for Apps SKUs more than doubled quarter over quarter [13], and Slack posted its fastest net new annual order value growth since the acquisition, with Slackbot users up more than 150% sequentially [14].
The guidance raise is doing none of that work. Lifting the FY27 range to $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion [5] is a $200 million move on a $46.25 billion midpoint, about 0.43% [dmid][4]. The organic component is $100 million, or 0.22% [4], and a $100 million currency headwind takes that back [6]. What remains is the two pending deals.
The ARR figures need their footnote attached. Agentforce ARR above $1.5 billion, up more than 240%, now includes Slackbot and Headless 360, effective this quarter [11]. Of the roughly $3.9 billion in combined AI and data ARR [10], about $2.4 billion sits with Data 360 [8], which is data plumbing sold to feed agents rather than the agents themselves. Consumption is moving: 3.2 billion of the 7.0 billion agentic work units ever delivered landed in this quarter alone [12][5]. The release does not say what a work unit earns.
Earnings quality is the softest part of the print. Net income was $3.53 billion against $1.89 billion a year earlier, and Salesforce attributed much of the lift to a $2.6 billion investment gain tied in part to its Anthropic position [16], a figure larger than the entire $1.64 billion increase in net income [6]. Non-GAAP EPS of $5.90 matched consensus [18]. Full-year operating cash flow growth guidance stayed at roughly 4% to 5% [19] against revenue guided up 11% to 12% [5], a spread of six to eight points [9], with the $25 billion accelerated repurchase still running [21].
At $33.5 billion, cRPO equals about 72% of the FY27 guidance midpoint [7], so most of the coming year is already contracted. Price is the unsettled part. Subscription revenue grew about 7% organically in the quarter [10], and agent contracts have to convert into something faster than that before the bookings line means what the commentary around it claims.
Ranked by verification strength, evidence, and original report placement.
Salesforce reported current remaining performance obligation of $33.5 billion for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended July 31, 2026, up 14% year over year and in constant currency.
Revenue was $11.3 billion, up 11% year over year and in constant currency, including a $456 million Informatica contribution; subscription and support revenue was $10.8 billion, up 12% year over year and 11% in constant currency, including a $440 million Informatica contribution.
Second-quarter revenue was $11.35 billion, up 11% from a year earlier.
Salesforce raised full-year FY27 revenue guidance to $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion, up 11% to 12% year over year, from prior guidance of $45.9 billion to $46.2 billion issued in May.
The $200 million raise, $300 million in constant currency, reflects $100 million of organic growth, $200 million from the pending Contentful and Fin acquisitions, and a $100 million FX headwind; both deals are expected to close in the third quarter of FY27.
Agentforce and Data 360 annual recurring revenue reached nearly $3.9 billion, up over 210% year over year.

Evidence-backed comparisons of source perspectives and observed adoption signals. Read the methodology
Which Builder, Operator, and Investor concerns the observed source mix emphasized—not a truth score.
Evidence, demonstrated adoption, hype gap, incentives, and confidence are assessed independently, each on its own current evidence. How these are measured.
Strong primary disclosure, weak independent verification
Every material figure traces to a dated issuer earnings release with specific dollar amounts and guidance components, and a second outlet independently restates the revenue, cRPO, EPS and agent metrics plus external consensus benchmarks. The ceiling is set by the fact that the adoption metrics are company-defined and unaudited, one of them (Agentforce ARR) changed composition this quarter, and no third-party measurement of agent usage exists in the cluster.
Large disclosed usage, vendor-measured
Adoption is unusually well quantified for an agent story: $33.5 billion of contracted twelve-month revenue growing 14%, nearly $3.9 billion of AI/data ARR, 3.2 billion agentic work units in one quarter, Slackbot users up 150% Q/Q and premium agent SKU bookings doubling. It is held below the top band because all usage counters are self-reported and definition-shifted, and because ex-acquisition revenue growth of roughly 6.5% shows the paid footprint is still expanding far slower than the usage counters.
Overstated by framing, not by numbers
The disclosed numbers are accurate, but the framing outruns them: the release calls it 'one of our best quarters ever, outperforming across every key metric' while the guidance raise is arithmetically the two pending acquisitions ($100 million organic on a $46.25 billion midpoint, about 0.22%), headline revenue growth of 11% falls to about 6.5% excluding Informatica, GAAP net income's jump is smaller than a $2.6 billion Anthropic-linked investment gain, and the fastest-growing AI metric was redefined this quarter. The gap is moderate rather than severe because cRPO acceleration and the ~14% Q3 cRPO guide — which exclude the acquisitions — are genuine demand evidence.
Issuer-authored on a down stock
The dominant source is the company's own earnings release, published on results day by a management team whose stock was down 22% year to date, mid-execution on a $25 billion accelerated share repurchase settling in October 2026, and seeking credit for AI monetization; the release also selects and redefines the metrics it reports. The secondary outlet is not conflicted but is substantially reprinting issuer figures plus market reaction.
High on figures, moderate on interpretation
Two independent publishers, a dated primary filing-grade release and external consensus benchmarks make the numbers and the derived arithmetic reliable. Confidence is short of very high because the cluster contains no analyst dissent, no earnings-call detail, no audited statements and no third-party measurement of the agent usage metrics, so judgments about durability of the 14% cRPO trend rest on management guidance alone.
