LG builds its Signature kitchen line out to 10 categories as the brand turns ten in North America
LG Electronics marked ten years of its Signature brand in North America by building it out to 10 kitchen product categories. New models will also be shown in major retailers' general stores as well as flagships, Seoul Economic Daily reported, so the push now depends on partners' floor space.

What happened
- Signature kitchen pieces come in three styles: Iconic pairs metal with gold accents, Tailored offers a range of colors, and Seamless sits flush with surrounding cabinetry.
- The Gourmet AI oven range uses an internal camera to recognize ingredients, suggest recipes and send alerts based on how browned the food is getting.
- According to LG, its Signature washer WM9900HSA scored 87 from Consumer Reports, the highest among more than 100 products assessed on performance, efficiency and reliability.
- LG celebrated the anniversary with a Thursday gala at New York's Guggenheim Museum featuring chocolatier Amaury Guichon and a performance by John Mayer.
Why it matters
- decision Major retail partners now have to decide how much general-store floor to give built-in Signature models, and LG's luxury line will be sold on floors it does not run.
- capability With ten kitchen categories sharing one built-in design approach, LG can offer a buyer a fully matched cooking wall from a single brand.
- contradiction Seoul Economic Daily counts roughly 100 products in the Consumer Reports field and the Korea Herald credits the 'highest' ranking to LG, so the claim stays the company's until the publication's own table confirms it.
Of everything in the anniversary package, the retail plan is the item that keeps costing money, or rather the only one whose cost outlasts the gala. Starting with this year's new models, LG plans to show Signature appliances in the general stores of major retail partners as well as at flagship stores, Seoul Economic Daily reported [8]. The Korea Herald describes the same push as widening retail access alongside a broader kitchen portfolio and AI features, aimed at North America's premium and built-in appliance sectors [15]. We'd expect each general-floor placement of a built-in range or wall oven to need an installed display and staff who can sell it, with LG paying part of that. Neither report includes Signature sales, prices or a count of the stores involved [5][8].
The kitchen catalogue grew in the same year. Seoul Economic Daily says LG "sharply expanded" its kitchen offerings to reach a 10-product lineup [7]. The Korea Herald names four of the ten: ranges, wall ovens, range hoods and cooktops [1].
The expansion can go three ways. Wider placement could sell matched kitchens in volume through partners' main floors. The same placement could set a luxury built-in beside ordinary appliances and drag buyers' price expectations toward the cheaper models in the aisle. Or the kitchen line could sell slowly while laundry carries the brand. We think LG is betting on the first, and on the evidence so far we'd put more weight on the third. The one independent result either report cites is for laundry: Consumer Reports put the Signature washer and dryer set on its list of the 15 best sets of 2026 [9].
Kwak Do-young, executive vice president and head of LG Electronics' North America region [14], described the decade in design terms. "Over the past decade, LG Signature has set a new standard for premium appliances with restrained design focused on the essence of home appliances and with innovative technology," Kwak said, according to Seoul Economic Daily [13]. "We will continue to offer North American consumers differentiated experiences through a premium lineup that combines sophisticated design with AI-powered convenience," he said, as the Korea Herald reported it [12].
Our view is wrong if LG pairs the general-store rollout with kitchen sales figures it is willing to publish, and those figures grow faster than the laundry line that already holds the 87 [10].
What to watch
- Which major retail partners put Signature built-ins on their general floors, and in how many stores.
- Whether Consumer Reports scores a Signature range, wall oven or cooktop, and how it compares with the washer's 87.
