Two of Taiwan's 66 F-16V jets reach Taitung after delay at Hawaii base

Taiwan has received the first two of 66 F-16 Block 70 jets it ordered from the US in 2019 for $7.76 billion, after a six-week stop in Hawaii. The other 64 are due by the end of 2026, on a schedule that has already slipped.

Korea's Cheongwang laser, now 90% local, runs at a quarter of HELIOS's peak power

South Korea's Hanwha Systems-built Cheongwang laser downed two of four drones at its public debut, at 10,000 to 20,000 won of electricity a shot. Its 30-kilowatt Block I is rated for small North Korean drones at two to three kilometres, a narrower job than the US and Chinese lasers it is measured against.

SpaceX flies Starship to orbit despite an early upper-stage engine shutdown
