Nearly all of the $3.4 billion in weekly tokenized stock volume sits on Solana

Solana accounts for $3.32 billion of the $3.4 billion in weekly tokenized stock DEX volume, Crypto Briefing reported. Robinhood Chain's own early daily average of $29.7 million works out to about $208 million a week, a small slice of the total.

Solana carries almost all weekly tokenized stock trading Tokenized stock DEX volume as reported by Crypto Briefing; Solana's share is derived from its $3.32 billion and the $3.4 billion all-platform weekly total.

Solana's $3.32 billion is about 97.6% of the $3.4 billion weekly tokenized stock DEX volume. Solana started at $1.34 million; all platforms at $627 million a week. Robinhood Chain averaged around $29.7 million a day shortly after launch.

What happened

  • Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer 2, went live on July 1, 2026 with round-the-clock trading of what Robinhood calls Stock Tokens.
  • Weekly tokenized stock DEX volume across all platforms climbed from $627 million to $3.4 billion since the launch, a rise of more than fivefold.
  • Peak sessions on Robinhood Chain reached upwards of $85 million a day, with spikes clustering around earnings reports from major companies.

Why it matters

  • contradiction A fivefold rise in the total alongside a roughly 87% fall in everything outside Solana cannot both be true on one basis, so Robinhood's share of the gain is unknown.
  • exposure Anyone reading $3.4 billion a week as steady demand is exposed to incentive programs ending, because Crypto Briefing says reward-driven volume may not last once rewards dry up.
  • constraint The tokens give price exposure with no ownership or voting rights, so the volume measures trading in price exposure and cannot be set beside share-ownership demand.

The two sets of figures in Crypto Briefing's report do not fit together cleanly. It puts Solana's tokenized equity volume at $3.32 billion [6] against an all-platform total of $3.4 billion [1]. Solana is then 97.6% of the total [12], and every other venue combined is about $80 million [17].

Run the same subtraction on the starting week. A $627 million total less Solana's $1.34 million leaves about $626 million elsewhere [18]. Going from $626 million to $80 million would be a fall of about 87% [19], in a period when the headline total rose more than fivefold [1]. The article does not say whether the Solana and total figures cover the same weeks or the same platforms, so the sums may be mixing baselines. If they are not, the growth is a Solana story and the other venues shrank.

Robinhood Chain's own contribution is hard to find in either set. Its tokenized stock volume averaged about $29.7 million a day shortly after launch [3], or roughly $208 million over seven days [13], about 6.1% of $3.4 billion [14]. Seven days at the $85 million peak [4] would be $595 million, 17.5% of the total [15], and since the peaks clustered around earnings reports [4], seven in a row is generous.

Equities are also the smaller business on the chain that carries Robinhood's name. They were consistently under 10% of its DEX volume [7], so more than 90% was something else [16], mostly memecoins [7]. The chain's $900 million of total value locked [5] sits on top of that mix.

We think the $3.4 billion is evidence that people will trade tokenized stock exposure on-chain at hours when exchanges are shut, and weak evidence that Robinhood's chain is where they want to do it. The case for demand is real. Volume spiked around earnings, which Crypto Briefing takes as a sign that traders react to news while traditional venues are closed [20], and the tokens can be traded at any hour and used in DeFi applications [11]. The case against is the report's own caution that chains are competing with incentives, and that incentives can inflate volume in ways that may not last once rewards dry up [8]. A third reading, that Robinhood's launch drew attention to the category and Solana collected the flow, fits the numbers as well, though the report does not establish it.

We would change our view if a same-week, per-chain series put Robinhood Chain's tokenized stock volume well above the $208 million a week its early pace implies.

What to watch

  • A per-chain weekly series on a common date range, which would settle whether non-Solana volume really fell to about $80 million.
  • Solana's weekly tokenized equity volume after any incentive programs end.
  • Whether tokenized equities climb above 10% of Robinhood Chain's DEX volume, or memecoins stay the majority.
