cRPO of $33.5bn, up 14%, is the metric the market trades on. $440m of Informatica revenue now sits inside the subscription line that feeds it. Back out the current portion and the remainder grew about 8%.

Four out of five records that Data 360 took in last quarter came through the path Salesforce badges Zero Copy: 82 trillion out of 104 trillion [11][7]. That ratio tells you more about what customers bought than the ARR line does. They are pointing Salesforce at warehouses they already run rather than shipping the contents across. Marc Benioff described AIforce in the release as "our trusted enterprise harness" for unlocking data, workflows and governance for every agent and interface [14]. The thing being pitched is control over data that lives somewhere else, and the Zero Copy figure is what that looks like in production.
Agentforce ARR passed $1.5bn, up more than 240%, and effective this quarter the number also includes AI offerings, Slackbot and Headless 360 [10]. That widened definition landed in the same quarter as the growth figure, so the number can be quoted now but not yet trended against prior quarters.
The backlog is where the arithmetic gets interesting. Total RPO was $66.3bn, up 11%, against cRPO of $33.5bn, up 14% [1][2]. Subtract the current portion and the remainder is $32.8bn [1]. Do the same on the implied year-ago figures ($66.3bn / 1.11 = $59.7bn; $33.5bn / 1.14 = $29.4bn) and the remainder was about $30.3bn [2], so it grew roughly 8% [3]. Rounding in the disclosed inputs puts that anywhere between about 7.6% and 8.6% [3], which is still around half the headline rate. The near book is growing; the commitments that sit past it are growing more slowly.
Now the acquired piece. Of the $10.8bn subscription line, $440m is Informatica [3]. The implied year-ago subscription figure is about $9.64bn, an increment near $1.16bn [4], so the acquisition supplied roughly 38% of the added subscription dollars [5] and about 4.6 of the 12 points [6]. Guidance keeps that going: Q3 revenue growth of 11% to 12% includes slightly above 4 points from Informatica [5], and the full-year raise of $200m resolves into $100m organic, $200m from the not-yet-closed Contentful and Fin deals, and a $100m currency headwind [7][8].
Informatica's revenue contribution is disclosed to the million, but its cRPO contribution is absent from the release entirely, and the Q3 cRPO guide of about 14% explicitly excludes Contentful and Fin [6]. CFO Robin Washington said NNAOV growth is the strongest in four years and keeps the company on track for second-half organic revenue reacceleration [13], which means the reacceleration has yet to show up in these numbers.
For whoever has to approve the order form, split the quote into three lines: per-user seats, consumption meters, and data-layer subscriptions (Data 360, Informatica, and Contentful and Fin once they close). Then work out which lines grow if your headcount is flat for a year. Salesforce's own choice of demand metrics answers two of the three for you, because what it led with was ARR, Agentic Work Units, Slack order value and records ingested [18], and the work-unit count nearly doubled sequentially [12]. The meter the vendor expects to spin runs independent of your hiring plan.

Evidence-backed comparisons of source perspectives and observed adoption signals. Read the methodology
Which Builder, Operator, and Investor concerns the observed source mix emphasized—not a truth score.
Evidence, demonstrated adoption, hype gap, incentives, and confidence are assessed independently, each on its own current evidence. How these are measured.
Precise, entirely self-reported
Every number in this story comes from one document that Salesforce wrote about itself. That document is unusually generous with detail — it names the $440 million acquired inside the subscription line and itemises a guidance raise to the $100 million — which is what makes the counter-arithmetic possible at all. But the disclosures that carry the demand story are company-defined: Agentic Work Units, NNAOV growth with no level attached, ARR bundles whose membership changed this quarter. Nothing here has been checked by anyone outside the issuer.
Real usage, on the vendor's own ruler
There is substance under the AI story: nearly $3.9 billion of Agentforce and Data 360 ARR, premium agent SKU bookings more than doubling sequentially, 104 trillion records ingested with four fifths arriving via Zero Copy. Those are the fingerprints of production deployment, not pilots. The discount is definitional — Agentforce ARR absorbed Slackbot and Headless 360 effective this quarter, so part of the 240% is bookkeeping, and no absolute Slack or NNAOV levels are given to anchor the rest.
Headline outruns the mix
"One of our best quarters ever, outperforming across every key metric" is doing a lot of work. The metric the market trades on grew 14%; the rest of the same backlog grew about 8%. Roughly 38 cents of every new subscription dollar came from Informatica. Two thirds of the positive components in the raised outlook depend on two acquisitions that had not closed when the release went out. None of that is hidden — it is all reconstructible from Salesforce's own figures — but none of it is foregrounded either, and the gap between the framing and the mix is the story.
The issuer is the only author
This is a company describing its own quarter while mid-way through a $25 billion accelerated repurchase due to settle in October, with guidance expressly conditional on two deals it wants closed. The tell is sequencing: the quarter's headline AI growth rate and the announcement that the metric now includes Slackbot and Headless 360 appear in the same sentence. No adversarial reader intervenes anywhere in this story.
Arithmetic solid, corroboration absent
We are confident in the subtraction: $66.3 billion less $33.5 billion is $32.8 billion, and the implied year-ago figures follow from the disclosed growth rates, giving non-current growth somewhere between about 7.6% and 8.6% depending on rounding. What we cannot do is verify the inputs or hear a second reading of them — no filing detail, no analyst pushback, no independent reporting appears in this story. Confidence in the derivation is high; confidence in the disclosure it rests on is only as high as the issuer's own record.
