A $138 million Pennsylvania contract makes up under 28% of LS ELECTRIC's Bloom orders
LS ELECTRIC won a $138 million Bloom Energy order for a Pennsylvania data center, taking its Bloom orders past $500 million since April 2025. Averaged over 18 months that is about $28 million a month, so this one contract equals roughly five months of the pace.

Key figures: LS ELECTRIC's cumulative Bloom Energy orders since April 2025 are over $500 million; orders before this contract total at least $361.55 million; Bloom orders average about $27.8 million a month over 18 months, at a minimum.

| Monthly average, at least | $27.8 million per month | 10 |
What happened
- The equipment is for a fuel cell-based on-site generation project at a data center that a big tech company is still building.
- LS will deliver 38-kilovolt high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers between April and July 2027.
- LS said the order shows the competitiveness of its distribution solutions as on-site generation equipment grows more important for AI data center power demand.
- LS has a local operation covering sales, design, production and service, centered on LS Electric Utah and a campus in Bastrop, Texas.
Why it matters
- exposure LS's customer is Bloom, and the data center owner sits one step further down, so LS's orders follow Bloom's project wins. A delay at the Pennsylvania site would show first in the April to July 2027 shipments.
- constraint Shipping $138.45 million in four months is about $34.6 million a month if deliveries are even, roughly 25% above the $27.8 million monthly average LS has booked from Bloom.
- capability LS says the contract matters because it supplies switchgear and distribution transformers for a large data center as a package, so a single site can produce a ticket as big as $138.45 million.
Against its own history, the order is large but not dominant. At $138.45 million [1] on a cumulative Bloom total that both reports put above $500 million [5], it is 27.7% of that figure [15], or rather a shade less, since both reports say only that the total passed it. The earlier contracts therefore come to at least $361.55 million [16], and neither report says how many contracts that was or what the equipment was for. (The two reports also convert the contract differently: the sedaily.com account gives $138.45 million [1], the Yonhap account $138.7 million for the same 185.3 billion won [2].)
The same total fits a steady buyer, a lumpy one, or one that has already placed its biggest orders. If the earlier contracts matched this one in size, they come to about 2.6 of them [14], a few large tickets with gaps between. If they were many small ones, the flow is steadier than this contract suggests. If this was the peak tranche, the next order is smaller.
We think the figures show a repeat customer. A stream of data center orders is a bigger claim, because every dollar comes from one buyer [5] and only this contract is tied in the reports to a data center [3]. LS makes the bigger case itself. "We will further strengthen our strategic cooperation with Bloom Energy and accelerate our push into the fast-growing North American AI data center power infrastructure market, led by our local production and service infrastructure and our differentiated distribution solutions," an LS ELECTRIC official said [8].
A long quiet stretch would count against the repeat-customer reading. With deliveries due April to July 2027 [4], no new Bloom order disclosed before then would suggest the earlier $361.55 million [16] came in a few contracts. The official's sentence also orders LS's priorities, Bloom first and the wider North American market second, so a slowdown at Bloom would reach the plan at its first step.
What to watch
- Any LS ELECTRIC or Bloom Energy disclosure that splits the earlier $361.55 million-plus by number of contracts and by application; two or three large contracts would weaken the stream reading.
- A new Bloom order to LS announced before the April 2027 delivery window opens.
- Confirmation from Bloom or its unnamed big tech customer of the Pennsylvania project's size and schedule.

Bloom orders average about $27.8 million a month over 18 months (a year and a half), at a minimum since the total is above $500 million.
- [11]
This contract equals roughly five months of the average monthly order pace.
- [12]
Delivering $138.45 million across the four-month April to July window is about $34.6 million a month if shipments are even.
- [13]
The even delivery pace is about 25% above the average monthly order pace.
