Ondo Finance launched three tokens that each hold a rebalanced basket of its tokenized stocks and ETFs, using strategies BlackRock designed. Using the tokens as DeFi collateral is so far only a possibility Ondo has named.

Standard Chartered has placed a dedicated DeFi research desk beside its ETF and stablecoin access, citing DeFi value locked that reached $114bn in 2025. The move makes on-chain research part of the access layer the bank sells, grouped with the custody and trading it already offers.

BlackRock designed three self-rebalancing portfolio tokens for Ondo, whose disclosures say BlackRock neither advises, manages nor distributes them. ONDO rose as much as 30% on a deal with no reported fees or licence terms, so the move prices the brand before any flows.

BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain took 88.2% of tracked tokenized-stock volume in September to date, up from 2.3% in June. The surge coincided with a zero-maker-fee campaign on Binance and Robinhood's Stock Tokens launch, so the test comes when maker fees return.
