India's eight-year 3nm target starts at a 180nm line in Mohali
Ashwini Vaishnaw says India will develop 7nm to 3nm chip technology within eight years. The Rs 1,27,500 crore program behind that statement funds design, packaging and materials, and its first new fab is scheduled for 2028.
