Salesforce's AIforce puts 37 prebuilt sales skills inside Claude
Salesforce is pushing its business logic and permissions into other companies' interfaces. For the admin rolling this out, the decision is which permission set a skill runs under when it fires from a chat window.

What happened
- Salesforce used its Dreamforce conference to unveil AIforce, an interface layer that carries the platform's business logic, semantics, security and governance out to the places where people already run AI agents.
- Three surfaces ship with it: Claudeforce, Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker, each carrying the skills, cookbooks, dashboards, triggered workflows and packaged interfaces users already have, via a plugin download.
- Claudeforce, an extension of the company's partnership with Anthropic, ships 37 prebuilt sales skills, among them prospecting and pipeline hygiene.
- Slack CRM with Slackforce connects every Slack conversation, user and update back to Salesforce, so a rep can open an account, log call notes and update records without leaving the chat window.
- AIforce sits on the Headless Toolkit from Headless 360, the open architecture Salesforce introduced in March to expose its MCP servers, APIs, plug-ins, skills and developer tools.

Why it matters
- decision The integration call moves from which model a team likes to which Salesforce permission set a skill inherits when it runs somewhere else, and that sits with whoever owns field-level security.
- constraint Agentforce Coworker's range is capped by what the business has already put into production: a company with three deployed Agentforce agents gets a teammate that can do three things.
- exposure Every Slack channel becomes a write path into CRM records. Account and note hygiene passes to people who never open Salesforce.
- capability Non-technical staff can now stand up their own interfaces on the toolkit, so the person shipping an agent surface need not be anyone who understands the object model.
A rep types a question about a stalled renewal into Claude, and a skill fires that reads the opportunity and writes a next step back to the record. Salesforce's framing is that this is the normal case now: with AIforce, the company said, users and businesses do not have to come to Salesforce to get work done, because it can come to them and their AI agents [2]. Marc Benioff, chair and chief executive, said "AI is creating an interface revolution" and described the product as "an intelligent, dynamic, composable system that is securely governed, built with Zero Data Retention and designed to work with the core systems that already run your business" [4].
Day-one coverage is narrower than that. Analytics in Tableau, plus skills for service, marketing, commerce and industries, are described as coming soon [6], so a support organisation reading the release is reading a roadmap. Builders get slightly more than sellers: the plug-in for Claude Code carries 40 skills and access to Salesforce's wider skills library on GitHub [7], three more than the sales set [19].
The Slack side reaches into the record further than the skill counts suggest. Slackforce Surfaces pulls context and data from Salesforce, chat and other tools into live interfaces a whole team can explore, comment on and work within [8]. Hotel Engine's chief executive and founder Elia Wallen said "We handle over 800,000 customer inquiries a year, so getting our people the right context fast is everything," and said "Slackforce makes that possible" [10] [11].
Patrick Stokes, president of applications and marketing solutions, drew the line between the toolkit and this layer. "March was like the raw materials, or the raw ingredients, and AIforce is like the chocolate chip cookie that comes out of the oven," he said [17]. AIforce abstracts away the wiring so non-technical users can spin up their own interfaces [15].
The report does not list prices, availability dates, or how field-level security is enforced when a skill executes inside Claude [20]. Until that is written down, an admin comparing the three surfaces has to work out which permission set a skill runs under and who approves a write to a live record. Agentforce Coworker is the easiest of the three to answer for, because Salesforce describes it as acting within business rules, permissions, security and governance while running inside Salesforce on every device [12]. Claudeforce runs its 37 skills inside Anthropic's product [5].
What to watch
- Prices and license requirements when the three surfaces reach general availability.
- Which Claudeforce skill set ships after sales, and how much of it covers service.
- Whether partner-built AgentExchange surfaces inherit the same permission enforcement Salesforce claims for Agentforce Coworker.
