A loan against accelerators sets up a race between two curves: the repayment schedule the lender wrote, and the rate at which the collateral stops earning enough to service it. The cost side is moving the wrong way in the meantime. Nvidia has notified customers of AI server price increases above 15 per cent driven by memory shortages [8], which lands on the input cost of a business whose product is renting those servers out. A provider absorbing that compresses the margin it needs to fund the fleet; a provider passing it on tests how firm those renewals really are. Neocloud margins are earned on scarcity, and the same customers renting GPUs today are building their own silicon or negotiating directly with hyperscalers for the years after [11].
