Jon Patullo's exit leaves TradePMR's product roadmap with a Robinhood strategist
Jon Patullo, TradePMR's chief product officer since 2024, has joined CG Financial Services, a $5 billion hybrid RIA, as COO and CIO. Asked who would replace him, TradePMR named a Robinhood strategist who already runs its dual-custody roadmap.

- CG Financial Services has used LPL Financial for custody and brokerage since moving there in 2023.

Why it matters
- exposure RIAs custodied on TradePMR now get their platform roadmap from an executive whose launches so far include Robinhood Cortex for Advisors, so Robinhood's product priorities reach them more directly.
- decision By pointing the product question at its RIA strategy head, TradePMR is for now not funding a senior product chief dedicated to Fusion. Hiring one later would change that read.
- capability CG, a $5 billion RIA that buys custody from LPL, gains an executive who has built custody platforms, and it can use that experience when it negotiates with technology vendors.
TradePMR did not name a new chief product officer. When asked about a replacement, a TradePMR spokesperson pointed to the May 2026 appointment of Kate Mapstone, a strategic advisor at Robinhood, as head of RIA strategy [4]. Mapstone is the person leading the strategic vision and roadmap for the dual-custody platform [6].
Since May she has overseen the rollout of Robinhood Cortex for Advisors and Advisor IPO Access [5]. Those two launches are the only product work reported under the executive who now holds the roadmap.
Patullo brought a different background. He spent more than 16 years running advisor technology development at TD Ameritrade Institutional, including the Veo and Veo Open Access rollouts [7]. He then became chief product officer at Apex Fintech Solutions [8] and joined TradePMR in 2024 with a brief to grow and enhance the Fusion technology platform [1][2]. He stayed about two years [1].
His new employer buys custody. CG moved to LPL Financial for custody and brokerage in 2023 [10]. It is a hybrid RIA with $5 billion in assets [3], and it plans to use his experience building vendor relationships as it keeps investing in its technology platform [11]. His remit there covers the firm's operating model, digital capabilities, advisor workflows and scalable processes [9]. CG has hired someone known for custody-platform and integration work in the independent advisor market [12], and he will now sit across the table from custodians.
The reorganisation can go a few ways. In one, Mapstone's roadmap pulls Fusion toward Robinhood's own products, and tools for advisors arrive ahead of custody and integration work. In another, the arrangement is interim and TradePMR later hires a dedicated product chief. In the least eventful, the roadmap was already set before Patullo left and advisors on the platform notice no change.
On thin evidence, I lean toward the first. The executive hired in 2024 to grow Fusion has left [1][3]. TradePMR's answer to the vacancy is a strategy title held by a Robinhood advisor, and one of her two launches carries Robinhood's name [4][5]. For now TradePMR is not giving a senior seat to a product chief whose only job is Fusion. The counter-case is fair. Putting Robinhood's tools in front of RIAs is product work for an advisor platform, and a strategy title by itself says little about how custody features will be prioritised. A named chief product officer for Fusion, or a roadmap that leads with custody and third-party integrations, would prove this view wrong.
What to watch
- Whether TradePMR names a chief product officer or a Fusion-specific product lead, or keeps product under Mapstone's RIA strategy role.
- Whether the next Fusion releases are custody and third-party integration work or more Robinhood advisor products in the mould of Cortex for Advisors.
