Induced oxidative stress cost rat parotid cells the calcium channels submandibular cells kept
An Oslo doctoral study stressed acinar cell lines from two rat salivary glands and found the parotid cells shed receptors and channels that trigger secretion while the submandibular cells shored up their defenses.
