Preschoolers who blinked more often handled the card-sorting rule change better
A University of Tsukuba team filmed 113 three- to six-year-olds sorting cards while fNIRS recorded their prefrontal cortex, and the children who blinked more often switched rules better, with the association surviving a control for age.
