Japan and China routes account for South Korea's entire 9.8% rise in air passengers

South Korea's Japan and China routes added 6.14 million passengers in January-August, slightly more than the 6.12 million gain in all international traffic. Southeast Asia shrank while the longer Americas and Europe routes grew, a pattern that points to surcharges moving the trips that had a closer substitute.
