Toy screening across the El Paso-Ciudad Juarez line flags one in eight items over metal limits

UTEP-led researchers screened 333 toys bought from stores on both sides of the border and found a toxic element in 78 percent of them. The 12 percent above regulatory limits is a screening flag, not yet a confirmed violation.
