Google Play closed testing

Google Play's pre-release track where a named group of testers installs a build, and the requirement on newer personal developer accounts to keep a minimum number of testers opted in before production release is granted.

Google Play counts a closed tester only after the account owner clicks Become a Tester

For personal developer accounts registered after 13 November 2023, Google Play requires 12 testers opted in for 14 consecutive days, and the dashboard only counts accounts whose owners clicked Become a Tester.
