IL-1beta in provoked blood cells failed to flag gastric ulcers in 77 horses

Adelaide University researchers provoked immune cells from 77 horses and measured interleukin-1 beta. The response tracked neither gastric lesions nor facial pain scores in a cohort where 59 of the 64 analysed horses had lesions.
