Advertising exposure tracked bottled-water use in a 15,000-person survey recruited on social media

Concordia researchers surveyed more than 15,000 people across 81 countries and found convenience, absent public taps and ad exposure all associated with single-use bottles, even though three quarters of respondents believed those bottles shed microplastics.
