Mapping Peru's canopy chemistry from the air splits 1,331 forest birds by vulnerability

ASU and ANU researchers matched airborne maps of six Peruvian forest types to 1,331 bird species and found bird traits and threats split along those types. They argue tree-cover maps could leave swamp-forest birds exposed, though the published account shows associations and no head-to-head test against such maps.
