Zuckerberg says Meta will time its own AI release delays while rivals build a standards body

Mark Zuckerberg rejected Dario Amodei's call for a coordinated AI slowdown, telling Joanna Stern each lab should delay its own releases when it sees problems. Until the rival labs' testing body launches, reportedly by the end of 2026 or early 2027, each lab sets its own release timing.
