Northern Ireland's phone-pouch pilot changed classroom behaviour faster than pupil well-being

King's College London tracked lockable pouches through a school year in eight Northern Ireland secondary schools and found phone use down and teachers pleased, while pupil mental health measures hardly moved. The design explains some of the gap.
