One gravimeter survey in Utah now stands behind a 48-gigaton global ice estimate
University of Utah geologists measured a Wasatch rock glacier at 83 percent ice. The area-to-volume rule they built from that one site now carries Utah's billion tons and the world's 48 gigatons.
