Microsoft launches new Copilot agent tools billed by usage; fewer than 7% of Office seats have the $30 add-on
Microsoft will bill the Cowork, Code and Autopilot parts of its combined Copilot app by usage, with fewer than 7% of 450 million-plus Office seats licensed. The meter lets buyers pay for the few staff who use agents, though the app still leans on OpenAI and Anthropic models and its Home tab has no Microsoft option.
