Testis-biased genes predict whether a gecko's new sex chromosome becomes a Z or an X

Across 22 gecko species, and again across 39 vertebrates, ancestral chromosomes rich in testis-expressed genes became Zs while the gene-poor ones became Xs. That is a rule with a direction, so it can be tested elsewhere.
