Decades of low income track with worse cognition at 53 in Britain's 1946 birth cohort
UCL researchers followed 2,759 people from birth into their seventies and found it was hardship stacked up across decades, not the odd bad year, that lined up with weaker thinking scores at 53 and less brain tissue at 70.
